LOXDOX DAIRY PRODUCE REPORT, Messrs E. Griffiths and Co., Xpw Plymouth. are in receipt of the following market report from their London principals, Messrs Mills and Sparrow, dated the "22ml April, 1!)10: — The weather -has been favorable for production, which is now fast increasing. Danish: The quotation has 'been reduced 4 kroner, although in soma quarters more was expected. Siberian: There lias been a good arrival this week for the time of the year, amounting* to 501)0 casks, and as this quantity was altogether unexpected, it has had rather a depressing effect on the market. French: Prices have again been reduced (>d per dozen on all qualities of fresh rolls, and 5s on fresh and salt baskets. Even with this reduction prices iare too hig;h in comparison with other sorts. Australian: There were two steamers arriving this week, the Orontes and the Suevic. The first named came ;o uantl in good time, and -onto butters were on the market in the early part of the week, but the Stievic's butters were not available until yesterday. The market opened at about' 2s to 4s less than last week for some of the regular brands that were booked up at open price to arrive, tot with the increase in supplies from the Continent and the favorable weather, together with the comparatively large arrival of Siberian, the market broke very 'badly. The senti- j ment which for some time .past has been verv strong, suddenly turned, with the result that the price? became very irregular, and the market closed weak. i New Zealand: We again hav.e to report great difficulty in obtaining delivery. The Karamea docked on the l!)th mst., but as yet not a box is to hand. This' is most unfortunate, as had this butter been available 110 doubt it could have been sold this weeic. As It is buyers have had-to fill their requirements from other sorts. As the Ruapeliu has just docked, it therefore means tnat there will be an additional quantity to handle next week, which in the present state of the market is a disadvantage. Quotations at the momeui, are very irregular, and until the butter is actually to hand, and sales sire made, it is hard to say at what they will settle down to. Argentine: This 'description has shared in the general depression, and this week's arrivals have not yet cleared, and sellers are offering verv cheaply. Cheese.—Canadian: ' Trade has been verv quiet and quotations are lower. New Zealand: There is tills some exKaipara on offer, and until these are actually out of the way, we are afraid the market will not be any better. As it is this week, white is about Is down, but colored is unaltered. The present weather is rather in favor of better trade.
