AUSTRIAN MILITARISM.

Herr Bilinski the Austrian Minister of Finance, speaking in the Reichssrath, said the reduction of the term of military service and the increasing number of recruits, would increase the expenditure by £3,750,000 annually. The .building of Austrian Dreadnoughts will cost £ 12,000,000. He added that it would be disastrous' if the new expenditure was not met. Increased taxation would be necessary, but it would be impossible to continue raising loans for such purposes. The Austrian press comments' show that the naval programme is aiiuud against Italy.
