Messrs. B. vnanoy anil Hansen were amongst the |>a-.ioiigei's by the s.s. Rarawa last riight. Mr. James Allen, M.P. for Bruee, will deliver a political address in Hokitika on Friday, 10th, in reply to the speech delivered by the Prime Minister there last week.—Press telegram. Mr. H. S. Fitzherbert, S.M. returned to New Plymouth on Tuesday evening. Whilst still far from well, Mr. Kitzherbert's friends will be glad to learn that lie is making a good recovery from hi* recent serious surgical operation. It is probable that the Hon. Mr. Mackenzie, who is Minister in charge of the Tourist Department, will make an excursion to the 'i.\orth Kgmont Mountain House next week. iAs Minister of Industry and Commerce he will visit the oil works of the Tnranaki Petroleum Company at Moturoa. Tlic Xew Plymouth Post and Tele-griij-h staff last night gave to Mr. Martin Han-bury a silver afternoon tea set. Mr. W. ,T. Chaney, Chief Postmaster, made the presentation, and Departmental officers were present in large numbers. Mr. Hansbury and Miss LiEzie Moore were married at St. Joseph's. Church yesterday morning.
