De Villiers Gra-aff, Minister for Public Works and Post and Telegraphs; Mr. 0. O'Grady and Mr. GuMtins without portfolio. GREAT DEMONSTRATION. Received May 31, 10.30 p.m. Capetown, May 31. A 'thanks-giving service for the 'birth of the Union was held in every church in South Africa this morning except where a combined service had been arranged. An open-air demonstration 'of school children was held at Johannesburg to sing hymns for the Union Jack. Tableaux descriptive of the Union were shown.
