Mr. <5. Arrowsmith was a passenger to Auckland pur s.s. Earawa last night. .Mr. Thus. Bayly, of Waitara, ig iu an exceedingly low condition of health. A Dunedin Press Association telegram records the death of Mr. William Paterson, J.P ~ of Avrburn Station, Arrow, aged 78, one of the oldest residents in the Likes district. Last evening the members oi tile Warehouse Football Club made a fareweli presentation at the Imperial Hotel to Mr. W, Shane, a member of the team, who is leaving' fo. Nelson on Wednesday. .Mr. J. i). Sole, president of the cluui, made the presentation. Air. Ivan James, advance manager for the perennially popular Fis'k .Jubilee >ingers, is at present in town making arrangements tor that old established organisation to visit here on Monday next. The Fisks can only give one entertainment in New Plymouth, owing lo the Theatre being otherwise engaged.
