New South Wales defeated Victoria by 13 rubbers, 27 sets and 246 games, to 8 rubbers, 20 sets and 272 games'. The play was consistently good, Brookes and Heath being especially brilliant. They won all their rubbers. In the singles, Rice and Parker lost to Brookes. The former's score was 2-6,' 3-6, and the latters 4-6, 1-6.
In the doubles' Parker and Rice lost to Brookes and Heath—2-6, 3-6. Sayers and Marsh went down before the latter —ll-13, 4-6; and Wright and Jones shared thp same fate—4-6, 2-6.
