Property-owners on Friday morning received notice of the new valuation of their .borough .properties. A very considerable rise has taken place, more especially in regard to unimproved Values, but this was only to be expected, as it is five years since the last valuation was made, and prices have enhanced considerably since then.

Travellers by the mail train frequently ask why the connecting train at perton is timed to leave that place six minutes after the departure of the. through train to New Plymouth.
