HOME DAIRY REPORT. | Messrs. E. Griffiths and Co., New Plv-' mouth, are in receipt of the following market report from their London principals, Messrs. Mills and Sparrow:— BUTTER. The weather has been changeable, but it is now rather more favorable for woduction than at has been for some time past. Danish: Supplies are increasing, and the quotation" has been reduced 3 kroner. French: Quotations for best qualities have been reduced for the next week 6d per dozen for fresh rolls, but the lower grades are unaltered. Australian: The s.s. Poona did not finish discharging until last Monday, so that a portion of her cargo was delivered this week. We are pleased to say that the buitters ex this steamer cleared at full rates, but to-day the sentiment is rather in favor <of lower .prices for next week.. It may be necessary to reduce .prices a little' in sympathy with other sorts, but we do not think it possible that'any serious decline can occur, as the market is absolutory bare of stocks. New Zealand: There has been a good trade for the butter ex s.s. Arawa, and the shipment is practically all sold, although there is still quite a quantity to be delivered. There are two steamers due next week, namely, the s.s. Raramea on the 17th and the s.s. Ruapehu on the 22nd, but only the butter ex *he firstnamed will be available for delivery. ■CHEESE. Canadian: Some holders seem anxious to clear, and are offering at lower prices. New Zealand Cheese: The anxiety' of some sellers to clear the s.s. Kaipara cheese has had rather a depressing effect on the market, with the result that quotations are albout Is to 2s lower. We think this reduction will have the effect of stimulating the trade, and we are looking for a better demand next week.
