MOTUEKA HARBOR. By Telegraph—Press Association. Nelson, Last Night. At a meeting of the Motueka Harbor Board to-day a report was received from the consulting engineer recommending the construction of a new harbor at the Moutere entrance, about two miles from the present site. The Board adjourned consideration till Monday. THE SUEZ MAIL SERVICE. Wellington. Yesterday. The Secretary of the General Post Office, in reply to a letter from the Wellington Chamber of Commerce, savs it does not appear that a saving/in time of from four to six days in the conveyan&p of .mails to the United Kingdnm, via Svdney and Suez, is of sufficient impui-tanee to warrant the lu*vv subsidy which would no dmi'bt be required.
