The Rarawa brought 65 tons of cargo from Onehunga yesterday morning, including '7 tons of sugar, 4 tons of flour, 20 tons of cement, 110 boxes of candles, and 60 cases of fruit. THE ROSAMOND. The Rosamond arrived in port at a late hour last night. She has a cargo of about 360 tons, the discharging of which commences this morning. THE CORINNA. The Corinna is expected here from southern .ports to-morrow morning. She will bring about Goo tons of general cargo.
NEW STEAMERS. Advice by the last English mail states that the New Zealand Shipping Co. have ordered another large passenger and cargo steamer. The vessel is to be 484 ft long, G2ft broad, and 3.> ft deep, and in general design will resemble the Ruahine. The latter has reciprocating engines driving twin screws. Another vessel on the stocks at Dumbarton is the Rotorua. The Tyser Line, Limited, have received cable advise stating that the new twin-screw steamer Muritai, which was recently launched, will sail from London on June 30 for Melbourne, Sydney, and New Zealand ports. The new steamer of similar design to the Marama, which is being built for the Union Company's intercolonial service, is to be delivered in time for the next summer passenger season. (The Marama is a vesel of 6437 tons gross register and 7600-h.p.) »...-■ , ' ii---.i : ivq'v! It is expected that the 'New Plymouth dredge Paritutu will call at Fremantle some time this month to load sufficient coal to bring her to New Zealand. When the French barque Jacques left Lyttelton for Falmouth on Monday she was fully loaded, and had under hatches 27,006 sacks of wheat, representing 2450 tons dead weight. It is-stated that the vessel is receiving a freight rate of £1 per ton. OVERSEA VESSELS. : FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. Lauderdale, from Port Huon, via Bluff and Port Chalmers, sailed May 14.
