Beef.—Market remains firm; New Zealand hinds 4y 2 d fores 3%d. Butter.—Market quiet, prices slightly weaker; choicest New' Zealand butter' to-day 107s, Danish 113s, Australian, 103s, Siberian lOlis. Cheese. —Market dull; average price finest New Zealand cheese to-day so's. I Hemp,—Market very quiet, nothing doing; New Zealand good fair on spot £25, fair on spot £24, fair current Manila on spot £24; forward shipment New Zealand good fair £24 15s. fair £23 15s, fair current Manila £22 10s.' The shipment of Nelson apples ex Paparoa. arrived in fair condition but met with dull sale on account of heavy arrivals from Australia.
