A TRAMCAR FATALITY By Telegraph—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. William Henry fenilito, a resident of Ash-burton, who had his skull fractured, through falling from a tramcar in Wellington, died in ,tlhe hospital. At the inquest a verdict of accidental death was returned. WELLINGTON ACCIDENTS. f Wellington, May 23. • James Russell, a married man, residing nt Nprthland, while rabbiting at Makara yesterday, was accidentally shot in the right side below the kidneya. His condition is rather serious. The condition of Mrs. Head, who was run over by a motor car on Friday, isserious. A lad named Henry Pearson, aged nine years, residing at Kaiwarra, was badly scorched about the face yesterday whileplaying with some powder. He was admitted to tho hospital. .. Of' the Patutahi Hotel, while driving home oil Saturday afternoon, was thrown from his trap and received concussion of the brain, from which he died this morning. DEATH FROM BURNS, 'fc^* Christchurch, May 23. Florence Lydia Thomas, thirty-five-years of age, wife of a blacksmith residing at Sydenham, died in the hospital yesterday as a result of burns. Shewas making jam on 'Wednesday morning, and when leaning over the pot her apron caught fire. She rushed out of thi> house, and when a neighbor found' her the clothes had been almost burnt off her back. She was sent to the hospital. At the inquest the hospital surgeon stated that the woman was confined after being admitted. The shockkilled her. A PUBLICAN DROWNED; Thames, May 23; Archibald Ladette, licensee of the Warwick Anns Hotel was found!' drowned in the Kauaeranga river this morning. He rose early, saving he expected visitors from Auckland and intended to prepare for them. His wife heard no sound, and became suspicious. She instituted a search, but found notrace of Ladette on the premises. Some hours later his body to found' in the river. Ladette had not been in goodT health lately, and was under medical treatment. Indications point to suicide. k
