A PUBLICAN DROWNED; Thames, May 23; Archibald Ladette, licensee of the Warwick Anns Hotel was found!' drowned in the Kauaeranga river this morning. He rose early, saving he expected visitors from Auckland and intended to prepare for them. His wife heard no sound, and became suspicious. She instituted a search, but found notrace of Ladette on the premises. Some hours later his body to found' in the river. Ladette had not been in goodT health lately, and was under medical treatment. Indications point to suicide. k
