The Moa diswharged liier cargo oi Stockton coal on iSatuirday and afterwards proceeded to Puponga, where she loads coal for Wellington, afterwards ■piroceeding to Wanganui. THE ROSAMOND. The Rosamond arrived from Onehunga late on Saturday night and loaded 250 boxes of butter, 104 sacks of hides for Canada, 100 sacks of hides for Melbourne, and sundries. A MODERN NOAH'S ARK. The steamer Brasilia, of the HamburgAmerican Line, wihicht arrived last month at Marseilles, carried a living, cargo which can only be compared with that ot Noah's Arte. It consisted of 2 elephants, 4 leopards, 17 zebras, 9 stags, 1 bear, 224 apes, 51 ostriches, 2 antelopes', 19 lions., 1 hyena, 1 gjiratfe, 8 horses, 3 asses, 2 eagles, and 104 other birds—a total of 448 Jiving creatures. Thiey were taken on .board at Colombo, Berbera, Djibouti and Port Said. During the voyage 24 oxen, 14 sheep and 8 goats were slaughtered for feeding the other animals. Accompanying the menagerie, whieJi is consigned to the Arm of Hagenbeck, were two Europeans, one Cingalese, 13 Indians, and 14 feomalis. The animals were all landed in sound .health at Marseilles. A notice in last week's Gazette states that the Waifcaria Harbor Board have notified the Marine .Department that the Morse code has been installed at the signal-station (Waitara) foT night-sig-iKil'iin|g.. It has been decided tihiat the Union Oo.'a steamer Rotoiti, which is to take up the Wainui's running in the Mel-bourne-Tasmania service, will sail from Wellington to-day, probably for Melbourne. Captain A. Carson, master of the Rakanoa, is to take charge of -the Rjotoiti. Captain E. R. Stewart, who was in command of the vessel whilst sue was on the Wellington-New PlymouthOndharnga run, and who was latterly on leave, takes charge of the Rakanoa. OVERSEA VESSELS. FOR NEW PLYMOUTH.
