HALEY'S COMET.
"Okato" writes under Monday's date: The comet was seen this morning imperfectly. That the earth's orbit and the line ahead is blocked by the tail is apparent. The moon, when seven day* old', is crossing our orbit, but behind us. The comet's tail is lying on the ecliptic and it occupies about two signs, siz., ..<) degrees. Someone suggested bottling some of the tail of Halley's comet as a curio. Well, fill your bottles with •water, provide good corks, decant when in the tail, and when all the water is out, cork and seal up, and you will have a curio only obtainable in 1980 next.
