SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' weather summary and forecast. The barometer has risen everywhere, and a southerly gale was experienced in many parts last night, but especially on the east coast. Heavy rain, hail and snowon the high levels were reported this morning, and the weather continues l unsettled in both extremes, north and south. The present indications are.for a further rise of ibarometric pressure in the north, with moderate southerly winds and fair weather. The barometer will prdbably fall again by to-morrow evening in the south, with winds backing to the westward and freshening.
