Owing to the special nature of the offences, and in view of the accession of King George, the exhibition of clemency might be appropriate. lit Mis Itihfljrcflore decided that O'Connel, Butler and Hutton be released forthwith, Brennan, Burns, Lewis and Gray after they had served six months, and Bowling after he had served twelve, and in the cases of May and Stokes, sentenced in connection with the Broken Hill troubles, May will be released forthwith, and Stokes in December.
