It was also deemed to give both a lady's and a gent.'a prize, to the value of ss, eadi night and a good prize at the end of the season for tile person who wins the most games. Tile following committee was formed: Messrs A. Clothier, 11. PeMvam, W. Thorjiell, J. Knott 1. R. Julian, J. Ross. W. H. Julian, W.' Revell, F. Jenkins, C. W. Corbett, W. B. Clarke ana C. W. Eevela.

The eight and linal competition .for Mr. F. M. (irayling's first trophy (a se s of carvers) was fired ftir on tiie local range on Saturday. The weather was squally and only five competed. The conditions of the trophy are: Eight shots to be lired, and the'person who wins the best six shoots out of the eight competitions wins .the trophy. The best aggregates for the competition are as .follow: lv. Julian 3SI, S. Hart 3F. Jenkins 375. W. I>. Clarke 370, and'\V. B. .Smith 301. R. Julian was declared the winner. The next shoot will be iired for Mr. Crayling".-. second trophy, which is to lie won three times in succession or four times at intervals. The new system of .handicapping will be tried in connection with this trophy.

Mr. Braddock, the Presbyterian minister, held service ia the local hall 011 Sunday morning.
