SUCCUMBED TO IXJUPJib. By Telegraph —Press Association. Dunedin, Saturday. Donald Geddes, who fell down the hold of the Eifeshire at Port Chalmers on Thursday, .succumbed iat Dunedin Hospital at midnight to the injuries he sustained. SEVERELY BURNED. Gisborne, Saturday. Whilst boiling iat over the kitchen fire at home at Patuta'lii yesterday Miss Garry sustained serious injuries. The fiat overboiled and ignited her dress, which was immediately a mass of flames. She rushed outsiue and rolled on the ground, and with assistance the flames were smothered. Miss Garry is suffering severely from burns and shock, and was brought to the hospital.

SUDDEN DEATH. Carterton. Saturday

George Stevens-, aged 37 years, a married man, died suddenly at Greytown this morning between 2 and 3 o'clock, of heart failure. No inquest will be held, as deceased was under medical treatment. OTIRA TUNNEL ACCIDENT. Greymouth, Saturday. The jury on the Bealey tunnel inquest did not visit the tunnel, but have decided ,to bring in u verdict on the evidence before them on Tuesday.

AN OLD MAN'S END. Dunedin, Saturday

The body of Angus McKay, a retired farmer, of Hyde, who has heen missing from the -Ship Restaurant for a week, was found in Tomahawk lagoon. Deceased was nearly eighth* years of age.
