IRREGULAR ELECTION. Received May Hi, 0.15 a.m. London, May 15. Mr. GueV'it, member for Dorset East in the House of Commons, has been unseated on the ground of excessive expenses, but the other charges were not sustained. Mr. Justice Lawrence stated there was great suspicion that undue influence and bribery .had been used, but gave Guest the benefit of the doubt. Petitioner, however, was justified in making the charges.
GOOD FOR SAILORS. Received May 16, 12.15 a.m. London, May 15. Arrangements have been made where by, from May 23, a wireless message will be sent each midnight from the Eiffel Tower, enabling mariners on receiving it to find their longitude.

CHARGE AGAINST AN EX-GOVER-NOR. New York, May 13. Mr. Frank Hollins, ex-Governor of New Hampshire, has been arrested here, charged with smuggling jewellery and wearing apparel into the United States. AN INDIAN SEDITION-MONGER. London, May 13. Savarkar, an Indian student, wtio was arrested in London on -March 13, has been ordered to be extradited. BOATING FATALTTY. London, May 13. The Central News correspondent states that a party of students boating on a pond at Wilkesbarre. in Pennsylvania, w-h.ie changing seats, were capsized, and six girls and two boys drowned. EXPELLING JEWS. St. Petersburg. May 13. A Commission at Kiel! has investigated the cases of thousands of Jews who were sentenced to expulsion, and recommends that 10 per cent, be allowed to remain and the rest be expelled within a month.
