The attention of the members of the New 'Plymouth Choral Society is directed to the notice in this issue calling a meeting for Monday next, to consider the society's welfare, and also the advisability of forming an Amateur Operatic Society. Mr. Cornwall thinks there is a strong feeling in favor of forming a good operatic society. Quite a fete in blouse bargains is in progress at White and Sons'. During the past few weeks their buyer has secured some exceptional values in Mousing materials. There is now offering a number of blouse lengths in all wool shrunk flannel at 4s lid each, while a large number of very taking designs in flannelette are being sold at 6d per yard, others being even as low as Is per blouse length—Advt. Messrs. Ambury Bros, have an advertisement in this issue dealing with their exceedingly large stock of winter weai ing apparel. In every conceivable line the firm has made its preparations for a good season's business, and the public have been quick to appreciate the enterprise, splendid service, and tip-top value which mark the 'business of this popular establishment. There are some very fine window displays at their premises just now, notably that dealing with ladies evening wear, whilst mothers find much ti. interest them in the woollen jersey suits for the little chaps. Men's and boys' wear is the care of a separate ~ f afT in its own distinct department, and tin.is a fine stock.—Advt.
