BLOWN OUT TO SEA. On arrival at Sydney from the Far East 011 April 23, the officers of the Prinz Sigismund, of the Norddeuscher Lloyd line, re,ported that shortly after •leaving Yokohama for Australia a small Japanese fishing boat 'was noticed in distress, and a boat was lowered to ascertain what had happened. The Japanese fishermen, who were over-joyed at being rescued, explained to the German officers that while following their calling they ihad been unexpectedly overtaken by violent gales, and their little craft had been driven twenty-five miles off the coast. To make matters worse, the mast snapped and was lost overboard, with, all their, sails. For several days they had been without food and-water, vainly endeavoring to make the land by means of oars. All the fishermen were In an exhausted condition when picked up, but upon the application of restoratives on board file Prinz Sigismund they soon recovered. The Prinz Sigismund turned tack in order to land the unfortunate men at Yokohama.
