SUMMARY AND FORECAST. ' By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Rev. B. C. Rites' summary and forecast are as follow:—The barometer , lias risen in the northern districts, but fallen in the southernmost parts. The weather has been -unsettled, but improved to-day. Strong southerly winds have prevailed in the north, and variable •winds in the south. The present indications -are for strong westerly winds, generally with rough weather in Cook and Foveaux straits. The "barometer wiL probably fall again in the north after twenty-fours hours, and be very unsteady in the south. Unsettled weathei is expected.
