SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. The Rev. v. C. Bates' summary and forecast are as follows: —Gloomy ana wet weather has prevailed, especially ia the north. Strong southerly winds have Jbeen experienced in the far north and on the west coast, but, moderate westerlies have prevailed elsewhere. The ibarometer has fallen everywhere. The present indications are for strong southerly winds generally, with rain and stormy weather. The barometer will probably rise everywhere soon, but temporarily in.the south, for a westerly storm area is due to follow in two days With low pressure in the south.
