A SUBMARINE DIVES

REMAINS UNDER TOO LONG. AN UNLUCKY SHIP. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received May 12, 1.3 a.m. London, May 11. While manoeuvring at Plymouth, the submarine "A 8" dived 250 ft, touched bottom, and rose only after an hour's submersion and considerable labor. The crew's pent up anxiety, on rising, gave vent in hearty cheers. Submarine "AS" is the same which sank in Cowsand Bay in 1005, when fifteen were drowned. She was afterwards repaired and commissioned again.
