HOCKEY.
At a meeting of the New Plymouth Hockey Club last night. Dr. Fookes presiding, it was decided to enter only one team in the -Association competition. Mr. Cornish was appointed secretary, vice Mr. .1. E. Avery, who had held the position for several years, and who wis accorded the hearty thanks of the Club for the painstaking manner m which he had carried out the duties appertaining to the oli'ice.
