ROMAN CATHOLIC CHURCH. By Telegraph—Press Association. Palmerston North, Last Night. Archbishop Redwood has written to the I!oman Catholic congregation here, suggesting that thev should take step* lo either erect a now church or enlarge the present one. He recommends the erection of a new church owing to the present building boi'ig quite inadequate for the ■congregations. This recommendation was endorsed by the Rev. Father Costello from the pulpit to-day, and * meeting is to be held with a view to carrying out the suggestion.
