Dr. McLaren, who was eighty-four vcars of ago. had been minister of Union Chanel since IS.iS. He was the sop. of a Glasgow merchant. and was educated at the High School and University of the city, afterwards at Step-m-v College. His first ministry was at Southampton. from lS4(i to 1858.
