FOOTBALL.

SATURDAY FOOTBALL ASSOCIATION. A meeting of the Saturday Football Association was held in the Council Chambers on Wednesday night; 'present: Messrs. J. Sole (president), Addison (Service), Bollinger (Rovers), Coker (Pirates), McLaren (Warehousemen) and Johns (secretary). The question of paying referees appointed ty the Thursday Referees' Association for loss of time was brought up. Alter a good deal of discussion it was mcved that a separate Referees' Associat'on be formed from ex-players available for Saturday matches, and who would not have to' lose time from work. Messrs. Mulvcy and McLaren were appointed to act as referees for Saturday's matches. The secretary was instructed to write to the Thursday Association, thanking them for their services last season. It was agreed that the suspension of F. Loveridge be removed and his transfer granted from the Civil Service to the Rovers, subject to the Service Olub granting him his clearance. Kurangi was granted a transfer from Pirates Club to Civil Service. It was decided that a'll matches be advertised to start at a quarter to three, and any team not ready for play by o o'clock to lose by forfeit. It was also agreed that the Association charge for all matches played on the Sports Ground, proceeds to go towards defraying the ground rent. The following will represent Warehousemen in their match against Rovers c?i the Sports Ground *on Saturday:— Crockett, Briscoe, Stohr, McAllum, Stannering, Dines, Hawkins, Chane, Johns, Richards, Boucher, Haggenson, Simmers, Arthur aiid Jackson; emergencies, Howell, Ward, Sole, Bullock, Bigelow. Play will start at 2.45 sharp, and Mr Mulvey will referee. At Tariki yesterday Tariki defeated Inglewood by 11 points to 6, after a close 'and at times interesting game.
