Scores C disciples paid an initiative fee of £2O in addition to other tees. The police raided his magnificently furnished house in Seventy-fourth Street and found a number of girls and old men in close-fitting costumes dancing.
Bernard was arrested on a charge o* abducting a Californian girl, who alleges that she was hypnotised. The Magistrate required £3OOO bail, which was not forthcoming.
