STAXDING COMMITTEES. At the conclusion of the Mayoral installation yesterday the following standing committees of the Borough Council were appointed. The drainage and bylaws committees were dispensed with. Works.—The whole Council. Estimates. —The whole Council.

Et!lringer (chairman), West, Dockrill, Gilbert and Browne. Encroachments.—Crs. Browne (chairman),' West and Clarke. • Electric Light. The Mayor, Crs. Browne (chairman), Wilson, Clarke, Beliringer, Hooker, Gilbert, Watkins ;>iid West. Board.—Crs. Beliringer, Watkins and the Mayor. Library.—The Mayor. Crs. Beliringer, Brown and Wilson, Messrs. Whetter, W. H. Skinner, Eyre-Kenny and P. White. Baths and Kawaroa Park.—The Mayor (chairman), Crs. Watkins, Gi!«iert and Hooker, Messrs. Stockcr and Xewman. Western Park.—Crs. Gilbert.
