Melbourne, Wednesday.—Arrived, Xerehana, from London. SAILED. Nelson, Wednesday.—Sailed, at 12.30 p.m., Rosamond, for New Plymouth. THE RARAWA. The Rarawa brought 65 tons of carsro from Onehunga yesterday morning, including 3 tons -of sugar, 6 tons of flour, 25 tons of cement, and about 100 cases of fruit. The ißarawa is not due here again till Monday next, as she will be undergoing lier annual boiler-cleaning, etc., during the latter portion of this week. THE ROSAMOND. The Rosamond left Nelson at 12.30 p.m. yesterday -and should arrive here early" this morning. Her cargo only amounts to 29 tons, as the Koonya, leaving Wellington the same day as the smaller vessel, brought all Wellington cargo.
The Aparima, from Calcutta, Singapore and Samarang, is due at Auckland on Monday next. She will leave Dunedin about the end of the third week of this month for Newcastle, and will probably leave again for the East and Calcutta. Her cargo for Calcutta ,will probably include a shipment of New Zealand horses. It is stated that a- new line of passenger steamers is to run from England to Australia under the well-known flag of Alfred Holt and Co. [The chosen route is to be via the Cape, and the steamers are to be of 10,000 to 11,000, toti register. OVERSEAS VESSELS. FOR NEW PLYMOUTH. Viganella, left Liverpool March 12, due about end of June.
