In four Legislative Council elections Labor failed to secure a place. THE REFERENDUM. ■MR. FISHER'S STATEMENT. Received Mav 5, 0.5 a.m. Melbourne, List Night. Mr. Fisher, in reference to the financial agreement, stated that his Ministry was quite prepared to adhere to the 25s per head arrangement, but it must be limited to ten years. The final referendum figures for Victoria show a majority of 41.054 against the financial agreement, and a majority of 26,244 in favor of the {State debts proposal.
