POISON IX PORT WINE. By Telegraph—Press Association. Received May 4, 0.25 a.m. Paris, May 3. The police arc investigating' >an attempt to poison Madame Marguerite Carre, the leading soprano at the Opera Comique, with corrosive sublimate dissolved in port wine. Two of Madame Carre's guests are seriously ill. Madame Carre also received a parcel of Imtter adulterated with oxide of zinc ten days earlier. The attempts are attributed to professional jealousy.
