A SYDNEY COLLISION.
SECOND MATE BLAMED. By Cable —Press Association—Copyright. Received May 4, 0.25 a.m. Sydney, Last Night. The Marine court found that the Manapouri-Gratitude collision on 23rd March was caused by Murdoch Longmore, the second mate of the Manapouri, who had charge of the wheel at the time of the accident, not keeping a proper and sufficient lookout. Longmore will be asked to slJow cause on Monday why his certificate of competency as a first mate on a foreigngoing ship should not be cancelled or suspended.
