Cotton. —A May-June shipment soldi at 7.64y 2 d per lb. Silver, 24 15-lGd per oz. Copper. —Spot £55 18s 9d, three months £57, electrolytic £SB. Tin. —Spot £l'49 10s, three months £l5O 10s. Lead, £l2 lis 3d. Shares. Waihi, buyers £8 7s 6d, sellers £8 10s; Junctions, buyers 26s 3d, sellers 28s 9d. Wool.—At the sales yesterday there was animated bidding, and prices were the highest of the series. Sales included Mortvi, top price 12d, average 10% d; and Tekoa, 12M>d and ll%d. lo date 48,984 bales have been catalogued and 45,131 sold. The report of W. and A. McArthur and Co., Ltd., shows a profit of £5450. A dividend of s>/ s per cent, was on preference shares; £2OOO was added to reserve, and £4OO carried forward.

New Zealand hindquarters 4y 4 d, fores 3%d. Butter.—Market dull and unsettled; buyers holding back; average prices, New Zealand choicest 110s, Danish HGs, Siberian 108s. Australian and Argentine 107s. Cheese. Market dull, with less demand; average prices, New Zealand finest white fiOs, colored 595.
Hemp. Market quiet but steady; Manila firmer; prices oil spot, New Zealand good fair £24 10s, fair- £23 10s: Manila fair current £25, forward shipment good fair £24 10s, fair £23 10s, Manila £24 10s. The output of Manila for the week was 34,000. bales. Cocksfoot Seed.—Market dull, buyers not keen to do business; New Zealand bright clean 171b seed, G4s.
