LEPERS RUN AMOK.
FIND OF A KEG OF RUM. THREE LEPERS DIE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Received May 2, 10.15 p.m. Capetown, May 2. Lepers on Robin Island, off Capetown, found a Go-gallon keg of rum that had been washed up on the beach. They consumed the lot and afterwards ran amok.
The convict guards and officials had the utmost difficulty in quelling the outbreak. Three of the lepers died.
