' THE INVERBLL SHOOTING CASE. Sydney, April 27. Donaldson, who was charged witn the murder of his father near Inverell in December last, pleaded justifiable homi'cide. The Judge directed the jury to return a formal verdict of "not guilty,' and discharged Donaldson without a stain on -his character. [The circumstances were that the father, who had got into debt through wagering over a boxing contest in which his sons were engaged, attempted to shoot his family, seriously injuring his daughter. One of the sons exchanged shots with his father, who ran away, liut was subsequently found dead, shot through the back.] MEAT WORKS BLOCKED. Sydney, April 27. , As an outcome of an unprecedented],? | favorable season the meat works are unable to find accommodation for all the meat coming forward. They complain of shortage of tonnage and that refrigerating space is almost unobtainable. The congestion, is attributed to large arrivals of rabbits. At the present time there are between three and four million rabbits stored in Sydney.
