Autumn Handicap, l'/o miles. —mdy Wilmington, 1; Good Friday, 2; Mark Scott, 3. Won by two lengths. Adams Memorial Trot. —Floranz, 1; Bill Gray, 2; Ma kauri Lass, 3. During tlie afterno'on Dan Patch covered a mile in 2min 11 4-osec, winning the Trotting Chili's purse of 250 sovs offered to any horse beating 2mm I4sec on the track. lIAWKE'S BAY JOCKEY CLUB. Napier, Last Night. At Hastings the weather' was nne today, but bitterly cold, for the opening of the Hawlce's Bay Jockey Club's Autumn meeting. The course was in good order. Nineteen bookmakers were licensed at £2O 10s each. The sum of £6631 10s was handled bv the totalisator, as against £0.386 for the first day of last year. Results: — Longland's Hack Hurdles, 1% mile. — Continuance, 1; Forest, 2; Dorando, 3. Also started: Pikopiko, Longner, Clemency, Waiwareware, Merry Lawn, flaurangi, Tupaea, Leguer. The hurdle at the top of the straight brought Pikopiko down. Won comfortably 'by two liengths. Time, 3mm 19sec. Maiden Hack Race; six furlongs. Humming Bird, 1; Directoire, 2; Morecambe, 3. Also started: Donzel, Castleside, Yorkshire, Boyne Water, Artie, Stormlight, Harelcoa, Ram-pare, Stepalong, Goldenmare, Floater and Vibration. Won 'by a length, about a length -between second and third. Time, Ixtiin 18sec. Nursery Handicap; five furlongs. Koliinoor, 1; Gloss, 2; Ngatimaru, 3. Also started: Sea Eagle, Countennaine, Lady Rema, Bunkum, Entente, Waikehua, Longstep, Ngakau. Won all the way by a length. Ngatimaru was a fair third. Time, lmin 2 4-ssec.
