GALE IN VICTORIA.
CONSIDERABLE DAMAGE DONE. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. Melbourne, April 27. During a gale a ketch broke loose and collided with and damaged the yacht Sayonara. Considerable damage was done to property ashore. The roof of a house collapsed, and the eight inmates had a miraculous escape. At the infectious diseases hospital many of the patients were in tents, which were torn to pieces, the patients being almost smothered in the debris and drenched with rain.
