AFFECTED BY THE FROSTS. By Cable—Press Association—Copyright. ■New York, April 25. As the cotton crop must be replanted, the prices of seed have reached a record figure in New -Orleans. There is also a big jump in cotton prices at New York. The frosts have killed half the cotton ere;; in Georgia. KNIGHT AND YANCEY. Received April 20, 9.30 p.m. London, April 26. The receivers in the estate of Knight and Yancey, cotton-orokers, obtained an injunction preventing a shipment oi 4200 bales to Havre under bills of lading issued by Knight. DAMAGE TO COTTON. « Received April 2(1, 9.30 p.m. Damage to cotton crops is reported from Alabama, where many thousands of acres are destroyed. The Louisiana, Mississippi, and Texas crops arc injured, and cotton must be replanted. A storm sweeping eastwards left ruined crops and orchards. Heavy frosts visited the Ohio valley and the interior of the States bordering the eastern shore of the Gulf of Mexico and the South Atlantic.
