SUMMARY AND FORECAST. Tip Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is the Rev. D. 0. Bates •weather summary and forecast:—-The weather has moderated on the east ■coast to-day, hut a heavy sea swell is reported .between East Cape and Port Chalmers from the cyclone now apparently passing near the Chathams. The weather has been generally cool and changeable; moderate southerly winds in the North Island and variable in the South. Present indications are for a falling barometer in the South and little movement for a short time in the North. Moderate south-easterly winds will probably prevail, with fair •weather, northward of Cook Strait, and northerly winds predominating and freshening soon in the South, with increasing cloud haziness before a change in weather conditions.
