BIBLE-READING IN SCHOOLS. By Telegraph—Press Association. Aucklan.., Last Night. At most of the meetings of householders this evening for the election of school committees for the ensuing year resolutions were carried in favor"of introducing the 'Nelson system of Biblereading in the schools. The city householders' meeting refused, by 300 votes to 12, to allow any resolution in reference to Bible in schools to be put.

HOUSEHOLDERS' RESOLUTIONS,

Wanganui, Last Night. At meetings of householders to-night, resolutions were passed protesting against the Government's action in reducing the maintenance, giant to education boards and abolishing capitation to school committees.
