Wright, the aviator, made another unsuccessful attempt to capture the prize offered for a successful flight from Manchester to London, ffhe time allowed was twenty-four hours, and Wright's time was 25hr. 4min. A gale damaged his aeroplane, and It will take three days to repair the damage.

There were six competitors in an aeroplane race from Nice to Cape Ferret and back, a distance of fifteen Latham was first, doing the journey in I4snim. 44sec. SOME NOTABLE FIAiNG.
