SUMMARY AND FORECAST. By Telegraph.—Press Association. Wellington, Last Night. Following is the Rev. D. C. Bates' weather summary and forecast: Stormy weather has been experienced between East Cape and Cape Campbell and in Taranaki to-day, but the southerly winds appear to be decreasing in force and the weather to be improving. Cloudy weather lias been experienced in the south, but fair weather prevailed. The present indications are for strong southerly winds in the North Island, and particularly on the East Coast, but /westerly winds freshening elsewhere 'shortly. The barometer will probably rise slowly in the north and fall in the south, with cool and changeable weather.
