The death of the Rev. F. Larkiim, a Church of England clergyman, formerly in the firm of McArtluir and Co., is announced in a Press message from Auckland. The deceased gentleman was very well known in Xcw Zealand.
A cable was received on Saturday morning by Mr. E. T. Morshead announcing the death at New Maiden England, of his sister, Miss Olvmpia Sarah Morshead. The deceased" lady was a resident of New Plymouth i n the early days.
Mr. J. K. Law. for the past fourteen years master of the Manaia school, who lias been appointed headmaster of the Aramoho school, was presented last week with a silver tea-set, a smoker's eab.net and an inkstand, from the old I'o.vs of the school, the Presbyterian fhoa- ami teachers of the district respectively.
