Sydney, Last Night. The Hon. J. A. Millar, who returned to New Zealand by the Moana, gave a newspaper some of his impressions of Australia, and the hospitable kindness extended to him. everywhere. •'Any man," ae dectolredt, "mfght T>e proud to live in any of the States he had visited, but he was going back to the best little .State of the whole lot." He was sure Xi>w Zealand had a higher average level of comfort. The average man could get along better there. He was much struck with the enormous progress made in Australia since he visited it ten years ago, but thought they had a healthier climate in New Zealand and were breeding a better race. He did not find Australians smarter than New Zealanders, and thought the latter were as bright in the head as Australians. Australia was a great country, but he had seen nothing to shake his conviction that New "~Zealanders had the best country to live in.
