The trouble caused by the nomination of representatives of the Wharf Laborers' Union to the Waterside Wages Board, through free laborers seeking to be represented, has been settled by the Free Laborers' nominee withdrawing. 'Mr. W. M. Hughes, on behalf of t'he Union, stated that with a view to easing the position of unionists, it was decided not to press for preference in the Board's award. The president of the Industrial Court, accepting nomination of two unionists to the Board, congratulated -the Union upon an action which had helped tile Court out of a difficulty. .NEWCASTLE STRIKE LEADERS.
