The discontinuance of attendance .prizes after the present year was decided upon, it being agreed that the school had outgrown the giving of .prizes of this description, and also that the institution of boarding arrangements would give the hoarders ail undue advantage. It was resolved also that Mr. Pridluini 'be requested to report on the allocation of the other school prizes. After a long discussion it was agreed to grant <.'3o in aid of the Technical School classes, members expressing the feeling that the school had received considerable benefit from the cookery, woodwork, dressmaking and drawing classes. The opinion was also expressed that the Board should in Sonne way be represented in the control of tile inKtitution.

It was stated, in reply to a.n enquiry, (hut the establishment of a cadet corps was now in Mr. Ryder's hands.

Mr. Eraser having expressed his intention of retiring from the chairmanship. Mr. MacDwrmid, was elected in his 'place hy tho unanimous wish of the •members. A very hearty vote of thanks was accorded ii;..' retiring chairman for his services during the past two years, during which there had been an exceptional amount of work through the establishment of 'the boarding arrangements, and the institution of the Science room and classes.

Accounts amounting to £.42.) 3s 7d were passed for payment, and the Board adjourned.
