INGLEWOOD NOTES.

(From Our .Resident Correspondent.) On Sunday last the annual Harvest Festival services were held. The display of produce showed unmistakable evidence of an exceptionally bountiful harvest, and there was a good attendance at each service.

The following are the amounts paid out for the various dairy companies:— Waitui £438 (for five weeks); Tarata, £281; Maketawa, £1280; Lepperton, £639; Tariki £I2SO; Moa, £3307. On Monday the monthly meeting of directors of the Moa Dairy Co. was held. Mr. Barford reported that arrangements had been maue to erect a new fence between the company's and Mr. Gamlin's properties. The secretary was instructed to obtain legal advice in connection with the surrender of shares from the Ratapiko shareholders. Shares applied for were transferred. Accounts amounting to £3709 15s lOd were passed for payment, included in which was butterfat £3397 Is Da, an increase of £450 on the corresponding period of last season.

The annual meeting of the Inglewood Games Club was held on Tuesday last. There was a fair attendance of members. Mr. T. Phillips was voted to the chair. The report and balance-sheet were read and adopted. The balancesheet showed cash in hand 18s Gd, but the committee had awarded to Mt. E. Henderson a prize to the value of £1 Is for the greatest number of games Avon last season, leaving a debit balance of 2s 6d. Messrs F. Spurdle, H. Mamby and W. Henry were elected new members of the club. The following officers were elected:— President, Mr. A. C. Nicholls (re-elected); vice-presidents. Messrs W. H. James, E. Henderson and T. Phillips; secretary and treasurer, E. Henderson; committee, Messrs Eolston, Spurdle, E, Harris, Henry and Coad, The annual subscription was fixed at 2s 6d. Friday night at 7.30 was aiTunged as club night. It was decided to hold an opening night on Friday, 29th April, when a crib match, East v. West, will be played. There are to be twelve ph\■ era a-side, and Messrs. Henderson and Mam'by were appointed selectors of the respective teams. Votes of thanks to the retiring officers and to the chair concluded the meeting.

The following team will represent the Inglewood Hockey Club against Eltbam on Thursday:--Ronaldson, C. Niches, Kilipatriok, V. Nichols. G. Ward, W. Welham, R. Spurdle, N. Sutherland; E. Harris, M. W. Priest and J. Allen. Four handsome gold medals presented by Mr. F. Calgher to the Bowli'i* Club for the champion rink are at prst?enr on exhibition in Mr. A. Leslie's window. The competition will be decided about the end of the week.

The opening night of the Inglewood gymnasium, which was fixed for Tuesday, nvas postponed on account of the material not being quite ready. The gym. will <probably be opened on Friday.

Mr. J. B. Hine made representations to, and a deputation of Stratford residents waited on, Mr. T. Ronayne, General Manager of Railways, last week, and now, we are pleased to hear, secondary pupils from Inglewood, Lepperton and Wa.itara will be allowed to travel, as formerly, on the morning express.
