PROSECUTIONS CAUSE A SENSATION.

The Attorney-General of New York State is proceeding against Suyne and W. Brown, who are members of Mr. Patten's ''bull pool" in connection with the agreement to purchase 150,000 bales of cotton for delivery from March, to July. The Attorney-General alleges that the operators are combining to buy all unused cotton in the United States and the crops of 1909 and 1910. The proceedings have caused a sensation, the action being unprecedented.
